Yash Pakka, India’s leading sustainable packaging solutions provider, made a significant impression on the guests, and invitees, at Global Investors Summit in Lucknow, held on 3rd June 2022. Organised by the Government of Uttar Pradesh, the investor summit is a significant step toward achieving the state’s vision of becoming a USD 1 trillion economy.

The event was graced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who performed the ‘bhumi pujan’ for around 2,000 projects worth INR 75,000 crore. It also saw a plethora of investors, decision-makers, senior government officials, and the local business community to understand and explore investment opportunities in the state.

On the theme of Solutions for a Cleaner Planet– From Ayodhya to the World, the Yash Pakka stall showcased their initiative toward creating a cleaner planet. On behalf of the brand, Mr. Jagdeep Hira, Business head at Yash Pakka, interacted with the PM to explain how they are working towards this goal by leveraging innovation. The brand also acknowledged that they actively support the ‘Make in India’ initiative by manufacturing products in Ayodhya and supplying them worldwide. Some of the brand’s products showcased at the event were – compostable carry bags, compostable flexible packaging, and compostable tableware.

The compostable tableware, which goes by the brand name Chuk, is made of bagasse, a sugar residue after the extraction of juice. This is manufactured by the company in its plant in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, and is supplied to businesses across the country as well as end-users. The carry bags are made from lime sludge, which is an industrial waste, while flexible packaging is made from a combination of bagasse-based paper and biopolymer. The carry bags as well as flexible packaging, which are also compostable, are being looked at as efficient alternatives for plastic. Through these offerings, Yash Pakka aims to strengthen its vision of ‘making a cleaner planet with the help of regenerative packaging’.

Mr. Jagdeep Hira, Business head, Yash Pakka, said, “At Yash Pakka, we strive to build a cleaner planet with the help of innovation. Our compostable tableware range Chuk has been well-received by businesses and end-users across India. Likewise, the flexible packaging range and carry bags will underpin our efforts to find sustainable alternatives for plastic. It is a great privilege to present our products and share the vision of the company with the honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, and showcase our contribution to the Swachh Bharat & Make in India campaigns which he has spearheaded across the nation.”

Yash Pakka was among the handful of companies across industries across the state that showcased their product to the Prime Minister. The PM has always emphasised the need to drive the nation with innovation, and Yash Pakka’s participation in such an event is a testament to the fact that the brand is one of the pioneers of growth and innovation in the country.
